Lemon Jefferson, Charlie Patton,
Robert Johnson, Memphis Minnie,
the Mississippi Shieks, etc. My
favorite songsters are Blind Willie
McTell and Bob Dylan.

My own original songs range from
political protest to blues, sometimes
shocking or pornographic. Here are

Alvin Youngblood Hart is a new musician who is a virtuoso in the old country blues style. Charley Patton was great, but the recordings of him are poor quality. I'd never really heard 'Pony Blues' until I heard Hart play it. He makes that guitar sing in ways you never imagined. Hogeye Bill sez if you like the blues, get his cd.
