Igor Ivanov - Bill Orton
Alekhine used to play the Benoni in this way, playing c5 on the second move followed by ...e5. Black hopes to play ...f5 before ...Nf6, a la Modern Defense. I've been playing it lately and, so far, have had decent results. In this game I got a good opening but ... I blotched it later. Darn! It's not often I get a good position against a grandmaster. Those GM's are tricky devils.
