Criticism: Anarchism doesn't promote the "public good."
Contra:
- Denial - Oh yes it does. (Mises, Hayek, M. Friedman, D. Friedman)
- Public good (properly understood) can't harm some to benefit others - Pareto optimality
- Public good is meaningless, since
- interpersonal comparison of utility is invalid
- utility is ordinal, not cardinal - one can't measure magnitude of utility differences
- Arrow's paradox
