Dear Editor,

The US already has a larger percent of its own citizens in prison than any developed country. Now we have police murdering innocent teenage girls in the streets.* Can our consciences bear gunning down people accused of, at worst, trading in pleasure drugs with consenting people their own ages?

The barbaric war on drug users must stop. Surely any objective person can see that imprisoning drug users is totally immoral, the modern equivalent of the Nazi's imprisonment of the Jews. Drug use is a health issue, not a law-enforcement issue. It's high time to end drug prohibition.
